The artist's favorite painting is Picasso’s “Large Still Life with a Pedestal table”. While representing a still life, it’s actually a painting of Picasso’s lover at the time. Art is such a personal, sometimes veiled message.
Amanda Korth graduated with a bachelors of fine arts from Texas Christian University, followed by a 20 year career in design, marketing and advertising. Amanda resides in Denver, Colorado with her husband of 11 years , and during that time, she has studied under several Colorado based, national recognized painters, such as David Griffen, Michelle Torrez, Raj Chaudhuri, and Ken Valastro. She is a member of several art societies and communities, including CIVA- Christians in Visual Arts, the Colorado Artist Guild, and the Pastel Society of America. She has sold art professionally, and has a large body of commissioned work, in portraiture, wall murals and stained glass.
While the artist has always been passionate about art, her passion was brightly reignited in the past 14 years when Amanda gave her life to Christ and felt that peaceful and deep impact on her heart. Her art is a personal testimony of saving grace, and an expression of enthusiasm and passion through the subject matter, colors and techniques employed. While Amanda works in several artistic media, including acrylic, oils, watercolor and wax pencil, right now, pastels express that vibrancy. If her artwork can provide contagious passion and joy, then she has achieved her goal.
